Our trip to New Jersey's Camelot Horse Auction was relatively uneventful and we now have our new family member here safe and sound! Next time I pay a professional shipper! It would be cheaper and I won't lose so much sleep, lol. I"m still wiped out.
Anyway, I know some of you are eager to see pics so here he is!

Thanks again to all who have donated and offered words of encouragement. This was a long journey that I have a feeling has really just begun, for him and for us! _________________ Jen Winchester

Been following everything on Maine rider. Good for you and everyone who helped out, Jen.! I hope you can come to the seminar on April 10 and share your experience. Just found out Kevin Crane is coming for certain and , well, I'll talk to him tonight and know for certain what he is doing,,,, but I hope to have some great news for everyone. _________________ Ride With Pride

I'm so glad everyone is home safely! I can't wait to hear about how he settles in and when his personality begins to bloom once he realizes that he's safe.
What was the final consensus on a name? |

I just posted his new name on the other thread... we decided on Big Mac, lol. It's sick, I know, but if you don't laugh you cry, right? _________________ Jen Winchester

Yay that he made it back safe. He actually is not a bad looking guy - looks like he has nice feet, straight legs, and considering where he came from, just a bit thin. It looks like he hasn't been too neglected yet which is great - it will make rehabbing him much quicker/easier! When you see poor emaciated creatures whose feet are curling around from lack of care, you know you really got your work cut out for you. Keep us posted.
Is there going to be a whole new group of needy horses this week at that auction? |
